In 1995, Francesco Zizola documented the lives of children in Bangladesh. He portrayed children of different walks of life; in cities and in the country side, at school, playing, taking care of their family and, at work.
This feature from Bangladesh is part of “Born Somewhere”, a project documenting the situation of children in 27 countries around the world.
Francesco spent 15 years documenting the condition of children in countries racked by war, like Angola, Sudan, Afghanistan and Iraq, to child laborers in Brazil and Indonesia, to Aids orphans in Mozambique and Kenya and from the alienated children of privilege in Japan, to the young entrepreneurs and actors of New York and Los Angeles.
The long-term document was published in the book ““Né Quelque Part / Born Somewhere” (Delpire 2004).
